Hello beautiful community,
It has been a little while since my last blog update, and I’m so grateful you’re still here.
While things may have looked quiet on the surface, GillyFlowers has not been standing still. Over the past while, I’ve been working more privately—allowing space for both rest and creativity, and gently exploring new ideas behind the scenes in my handmade artisan business.
During this time, I also needed to step back at moments to focus on my health, including undergoing a couple of surgeries. I’ve kept things simple and private, but I’m very grateful to be through that chapter and moving forward with renewed energy and inspiration.
Even in the quieter moments, creativity never really leaves. It just shifts shape.
That’s what led me into developing new work in a more reflective way, including my recently released Georgian Bay Pendant Collection with Artist Cards. This new wearable art collection is deeply connected to my love of Georgian Bay inspired art, nature, shoreline textures, and colour.
Each pendant is a piece of handmade wearable art in Canada, designed to carry its own story from the studio and the landscapes that inspire my work.
This slower season reminded me that growth doesn’t always look loud or visible. Sometimes it happens quietly—layer by layer—until suddenly there’s something new to share.
I’m excited to be reconnecting here again and to continue sharing new designs, including:
